Tottenham Hotspur will compete with Everton and West Ham United to sign 29-year-old English striker Ivan Toney from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Ivan Toney is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. Everton and West Ham United are also keen on landing the Al-Ahli striker in the winter transfer window. However, they are behind the North London club in the race to sign the 29-year-old from the Saudi Pro League club.
Ivan Toney and his time in the Saudi Pro League so far
Ivan Toney has enjoyed a productive spell since joining Al-Ahli from Brentford in a deal worth £40 million last year. The 29-year-old surprised many with his decision to move to the Saudi Pro League, having been among the finest strikers in the Premier League for several years. Nevertheless, the Englishman hit the ground running at Al-Ahli and immediately became a pivotal figure for the Middle Eastern outfit.
The English international has been excellent thus far for Al-Ahli, making significant progress in the last 14 months. Toney has been hot off the blocks in the 2025/26 season, amassing 11 goals and two assists in 15 appearances in all competitions. Meanwhile, his progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs, including Everton, West Ham United, and Tottenham Hotspur.
Premier League return on the horizon?
Everton may dip into the market for a striker in the winter transfer window, as Beto has not been consistent enough in the final third. With David Moyes eager to guide the Merseyside club to securing European qualification, they must sign a striker next year. So, Toney has emerged as a target for Everton.
Meanwhile, West Ham United’s interest in Ivan Toney makes sense. The Hammers have been yearning for a striker who can be consistent in the final third. With Niclas Fullkrug struggling to make his mark since arriving from Borussia Dortmund last year and Callum Wilson approaching the twilight of his career, West Ham must sign a new striker in the winter transfer window. So, Toney is an option worth considering.
As for Tottenham, Dominic Solanke has struggled to make his mark since completing a big-money move from Bournemouth. Meanwhile, Richarlison faces an uncertain future at the North London club. So, Toney is a viable target for Tottenham, with the Lilywhites in pole position to secure the 29-year-old Englishman’s services.
