Artist Lucy Danielle has painted a huge football mural on the side of the Ash Tree pub, Dudley Road, Wolverhampton, less than three miles away from Molineux.
The colourful mural shows Jota in a half and half Wolves and Liverpool kit, the two clubs he played for across his eight years in England.
Jota can be seen with his right hand placed on his heart and the Wolves badge, a touching tribute to the love the 28-year-old had for the club.

"Everyone down here has been so friendly, and people loved watching me paint it," Lucy said.
"The owner contacted me and asked me to paint a football-based mural to show that it's not just a restaurant, it's also a sports bar, and it's something that the community have really got behind, especially with our Wolves player that we lost recently."
Lucy, a freelance illustrator, graffiti mural artist and all round creative, has an Instagram account documenting her work, which largely consists of mural paintings on an even bigger scale.
"This is actually on the smaller end of things for me," she said.

"I've been doing it for a long time now, and usually I'd have to use a cherry picker to complete it. So many people have complimented me as they've walked past, it's been great."
It is the latest in a number of tributes to Diogo, and his brother Andre who also died in the fatal car crash in Spain, across Wolverhampton.
A large mural on the side of The Leaping Wolf pub near Molineux was unveiled in August, while the South Bank held up a touching tifo to Jota before their first Premier League game of the season against Manchester City.
