According to numerous reports:
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. — Former NFL linebacker Keith Browner Sr. died unexpectedly on Tuesday morning in his home in San Leandro, California. He was 63 years old.
According to his son, Keith Browner Jr., Browner had experienced stomach issues and vomiting the night before his passing, and collapsed at his residence the next morning. The exact cause of death has not been officially confirmed, but a heart-attack is being considered by family and reporting outlets.
Career Highlights
Browner starred as a defensive lineman/linebacker at University of Southern California (USC), earning accolades including Second-Team All-Pac-10 in 1982 and 1983.
He was selected 30th overall in the 2nd round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In his NFL career, Browner played for the Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers, and the San Diego Chargers between 1984-1988. He also extended his playing career in Arena Football.
