Former Phoenix Suns center Frank Kaminsky will be a TV analyst for G League Valley Suns home games alongside play-by-play broadcaster Braiden Bell, the team announced on Wednesday.
Kaminsky, aka “Frank the Tank,” played three of his eight years in the NBA for the Suns and was a member of the 2021 Western Conference Championship team.
The 7-footer out of Wisconsin last suited up in the NBA for the Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets in the 2022-23 season and was also on the Suns’ training camp roster prior to the 2024-25 season. He made appearances in four preseason games before being trimmed for the official team roster.

Kaminsky averaged 8.2 points and 4.3 rebounds for Phoenix, and when he received an invitation for the training camp roster, he said the Valley was “back where I wanted to be all along.”
His partner in Bell will be returning for his second year calling games for the Valley Suns. Bell was on the call for select Phoenix Mercury broadcasts last season as well.
All 24 home games for the Suns’ G League affiliate will be available to view on Arizona’s Family Sports, beginning with the home opener at Mullett Arena on Nov. 14 against the Rip City Remix.
Any game this season on the over-the-air channel will also be on the Suns’ streaming platform, Suns+.
A mix of 19 home and away games this season will be shown on ESPN+. The first nationally available contest will be a road matchup on Nov. 19 against the Stockton Kings.
To the chagrin of Arizona fans, Kaminsky and his Badgers knocked out the Wildcats in the NCAA Tournament’s Elite Eight in back-to-back years (2014, ’15) and the big was named the consensus national player of the year for the 2014-15 season.
Kaminsky is still the only NCAA Division I men’s basketball player to average at least 17 points, eight rebounds, two assists and 1.5 blocks per game in a single season.
