Eagles general manager Howie Roseman made some trade to help improve his team at the NFL trade deadline. One of the moves he made was trading for Miami Dolphins edge rusher Jaelen Phillips. Roseman also tried to trade for Micah Parsons and Myles Garrett as well.

The Eagles general manager spoke to the media about trying to trade for Parsons and Garrett. He did not get the job done on either player, but Roseman said,

“When there’s opportunities to be aggressive for the right players, we’re not going to sit on our hands. You don’t have great success without taking great risks. … We can’t be afraid to fail. I think a lot of times for you to get to the top you have to be willing to take chances that may look controversial at times. …. I won’t live with regret.”

Roseman traded for players like wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Tennessee Titans a few years ago. He has made some other moves. Roseman has helped build this Eagles roster into a serious Super Bowl contender year in and year out. He will swing for the fences no matter what happens, even if other teams say no.
