Smith has been working a lot in New York City and is a big time New York Knicks fan. He has a lot of love for the city. Well, just like many New Yorkers, Smith was paying close attention to the New York City Mayoral race on Tuesday between Zohran Mamdami, Curtis Silwa, and Andrew Cuomo.

Smith was on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon talking about the results of the New York City Mayoral election. He sent his best wishes to him and said,
“Congrats
! Hope you’ll be as good for New Yorkers as you say you will.”
It will be interesting to see how good Mamdami will be as mayor of New York City. This is going to have a ripple effect on a lot of people living in the city. It will be interesting to see how it all goes. With Smith working for ESPN and doing a lot of stuff in New York as well, he better hope it will turn out for the good. Whether it will turn out good for the citizens of New York City is another story altogether.
