The Green Bay Packers lost their most reliable pass catcher in Week 9.
Tight end Tucker Kraft sustained a season-ending ACL injury in the second half of their home loss to the Carolina Panthers.
The Packers reportedly tried to trade for Cleveland Browns veteran David Njoku before the NFL deadline but could not complete a deal.
With that in mind, former Packers tight end Dominique Dafney took to social media to let it be known that he would be open to a return to the team.
“Y’all don’t even know, if Matthew Robert LaFleur called me and said, ‘Dom, we wanna sign you back,’ I would grab my cleats and toothbrush, gas up the truck and be on my way. Always got love for Green Bay,” Dafney posted on X.

Dafney played for the Carolina Panthers this preseason and had three catches on four targets for 32 yards.
An undrafted free agent, Dafney has bounced around the NFL for years.
His only regular-season action came with the Packers in the 2020 and 2021 seasons, when he had four receptions for 60 yards and one touchdown in 15 games.
Despite his experience with the organization, it’s hard to believe he’s even on the radar, and even if he were, he wouldn’t move the needle for the offense.
Losing Kraft, who was the team leader with six receiving touchdowns, is a huge blow, especially given how much quarterback Jordan Love relied on him.
So, after failing to find a suitable replacement at the deadline, it’ll be up to Luke Musgrave to take a step forward and pick up the slack.
If not, maybe they will have no choice but to consider options like Dafney.
