Leeds United beat Nottingham Forest in their last outing back in 2023.

Forest will play host to Leeds at the City Ground as both sides look to get back on the winning trail in the Premier League.

The Whites fell to defeat last time around as Brighton secured a 3-0 win over Leeds in a truly shocking afternoon for the Yorkshire faithful.

Another difficult away day awaits against the Reds, as Leeds prepare to face Forest just days after their Europa League outing on Thursday.

If the LS11 club want to be successful in the East Midlands, they need to buck a seasonal trend and reproduce their work of two years ago.

Leeds beat Nottingham Forest in April 2023

Leeds will travel to face Forest with the hope of adding to their 11-point tally after 10 Premier League matches.

There was a similar feeling back in 2023 when the two sides met, hoping to pick up points in the relegation battle.

Javi Gracia was in charge of the Whites at Elland Road and oversaw a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Jack Harrison and Luis Sinisterra.

The home side secured three points from behind after Orel Mangala scored an opener for the Reds with just 12 minutes on the clock.

Only Illan Meslier, Pascal Struijk, Brenden Aaronson and Jack Harrison remain from the starting 11, while only Neco Williams has stuck around at Forest.

Although things are totally different surrounding both outfits, Leeds will still be keen to replicate not only the result, but performance against Sean Dyche’s side.

Leeds United took 21 shots vs Nottingham Forest in 2023

Leeds went on to be relegated from the Premier League in the 2022/23 season, but did complete a campaign’s first in their win over Forest.

The Whites racked up 21 shots at Elland Road, which was their most in a single match since the previous January.

Taking the most shots in over 13 months against Forest two years ago could act as the perfect omen moving forward into the upcoming fixtures.

Farke’s side have managed that same feat just once in the Premier League this season, taking 21 shots against Everton on the opening day of the season.

If they are to gain victory over the Reds this time around, they will likely need to take their chances when they come, and not just take a campaign-high number of shots.
