The Arizona Cardinals have placed quarterback Kyler Murray on Injured reserve as he recovers from a foot injury.
Murray has been sidelined in recent weeks after suffering with a mid-foot sprain, paving the way for Jacoby Brissett to start under center for the Cardinals.
The franchise made the decision earlier this week to stick with Brissett as their starting quarterback after he led the team to an impressive win over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night.
The Cardinals had already confirmed that Murray would be benched for this Sunday's clash against the Seattle Seahawks amid his injury. Now they have made the move to place him on IR to allow him even more time to heal.
