Bo Nix says ‘we’ve got all the pieces’ when it comes to no Broncos trades

Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix didn’t get any new offensive weapons on Tuesday.

In fact, the Broncos didn’t add anyone at all.

The NFL trade deadline came and went with Denver GM George Paton and head coach Sean Payton making no deals.

On one hand, the team is 7-2, so this roster is good enough to compete at the highest level. On the other, adding another skill-position player on offense might’ve made sense.

After Payton called it “all good” the Broncos didn’t make a trade, Bo Nix took a similar tone when he met with the media.

“Obviously if there’s a need you want to get it, but we feel like we’ve got all the pieces,” Nix said. “We’ve got something good going and we just want to keep riding this wave and finding ways to win.”

Denver has won six games in a row and is tied atop the entire AFC. Them, the Colts and Patriots have the most wins in the league. Clearly the front office didn’t want to shake things up.

For Bo Nix, he’s heard the outside noise, but is focused on improving internally.

“We’ve heard a lot about the win streak, but we’re not even really thinking about that because we have so many things that we want to correct. We feel like we haven’t even played a complete game offensively,” Nix said. “We’re all in a growth mindset and we’re worried about the things we can fix.”

The Broncos only had seven points against the Texans last Sunday, but another fourth quarter rally had them leaving Houston with an 18-15 win at the buzzer.

And the guys currently in the locker room are the ones Bo Nix will go to battle with the rest of the season. He seems just fine with that being the case.
