FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons were without two starting lineman at practice Wednesday before the team's international trip to Berlin, Germany to face the Indianapolis Colts this weekend.
Starting guards Chris Lindstrom (foot) and Matthew Bergeron (ankle) did not practice as they work through injuries sustained in the team's Week 9 loss to the New England Patriots. Bergeron was injured in the first offensive series last Sunday. He was carted to the locker room, and though he came back out to the sideline in his pads a short time later, he did not return to the game.
Head coach Raheem Morris said the team is considering Bergeron "week-to-week," adding "it doesn't look good for this week," regarding Bergeron's potential status for this Sunday in Germany. If Bergeron can't go, Morris said the team is expecting to move forward with Kyle Hinton at left guard.
As for Lindstrom, Morris was a bit more hopeful about potentially having him on the right side of the protection this weekend, saying he was "day-to-day."
