After Nottingham Forest, Leeds United will have an international break before a very tough run of games heading towards Christmas.
United have another huge game at the bottom end of the table this weekend. They travel down to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
For Leeds, getting back to winning ways, or at least keeping one of the bottom three at arm’s length could be vital ahead of an important international break.

Dan James named in Wales squad for November international break
As squads are finalised this week for the looming international fixtures, Leeds are going to have a hefty involvement once again in Wales’ World Cup qualification push.
The usual suspects are all there with Karl Darlow, Joe Rodon, and Ethan Ampadu all named. Dan James, though, is also included in Craig Bellamy’s squad too.

Wales sit third in Group J of World Cup qualifying, three points behind second-placed North Macedonia. Bellamy’s side are assured of a play-off spot in March through their Nations League ranking. But, they will be looking to finish this group phase in fine fettle with a trip to Liechtenstein and then a home clash with North Macedonia.
Leeds United will have something to say about Dan James’ inclusion for Wales
James’ inclusion is an interesting one. We know that the winger is working his way back to full fitness, but he hasn’t started a Leeds fixture since August.

His most recent competitive start actually came for Wales back in September, before suffering an abdominal setback away at Fulham. Since then, he’s been recovering his fitness after sustaining an injury to his ankle.
You’d expect that another week of full training could see him start at the City Ground this weekend. But, given Daniel Farke’s headaches out wide this season, he won’t be too pleased to see James heavily involved for Wales.
It’s positive, of course, that James is fit enough to be named in the Wales squad, but we’ve seen this story before.
United have been forced to manage fitness of their wide options a lot this season. The last thing they’ll want is James flogged for his country.
