CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans’ season just took a major turn. Sitting at 3-5, Houston is in desperate need for a winning streak to keep their playoff hopes alive. However, nothing comes easy in this league and the Texans are no strangers to that. Quarterback C.J. Stroud has been officially ruled out for Week 10 after suffering a concussion in the Week 9 loss to the Denver Broncos, head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed.
Stroud took a hard hit while sliding late in the second quarter — his helmet hit the turf after contact with Broncos cornerback Kris Abrams‑Draine. He exited the game and did not return, and the team says he will now progress through the league’s concussion protocol.
