The Indiana Pacers list of injured players continues to grow. Rarely has a game gone by without a player or two leaving early from injury.

Johnny Furphy (sprained ankle) and Quenton Jackson (hamstring strain) both recently returned from injury but both were hurt again in the game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Rick Carlisle provided some updates on the injury report and said that both players will miss the entirety of the Pacers upcoming 4-game road trip and their absence will likely continue beyond that.

> Rick Carlisle: "Those guys are out for the forseeable future," on Furphy and Quenton Jackson. Said they won't play on the upcoming road trip and, likely, longer than that.

Jackson, who put up 25 points, 10 assists, and 0 turnovers in the Pacers only win of the season, re-injured his hamstring while trying to chase down a player in transition. He had previously injured the same hamstring during the preseason. Furphy hurt his ankle while attempting to save a ball from going out of bounds.

These two exciting young players make 8 players that will be out for the Pacers game tonight against the Brooklyn Nets, the only team that has won less games than the Pacers.

The other six remaining players currently injured: Obi Toppin (out until at least February with a stress fracture in his foot); TJ. McConnell (update to come on McConnell this weekend as it’s been nearly a month since he’s been out with a hamstring strain. We have not yet heard any updates on Bennedict Mathurin beyond week to week, nor is there clarity on when Andrew Nembhard will return from his shoulder injury in the season opener; rookie guard Kam Jones also remains out with a back injury and of course Tyrese Haliburton is out for the season with an Achilles.

Because of all of the injuries the Pacers have signed two players to 10-day hardship contracts: Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, who closed the final minutes of Pacers latest comeback attempt, and now forward Cody Martin, who previously played for the Hornets and Suns in his career. They join Mac McClung as players the Pacers have added to the roster since the season began.
