How to Watch Pistons vs. Jazz

The Detroit Pistons are playing their first game at Little Caesars Arena since an Oct. 29 win over the Orlando Magic, which felt like a statement win as far as taking on an Eastern Conference foe who was getting a lot of preseason hype about which teams were ready to take the leap. And the Pistons won in convincing fashion.

Now, they take on the Utah Jazz. A win is expected, but not guaranteed. The Jazz are better than they have been in the past few years, and it is another opportunity for the Pistons to define their purpose. Beat the teams you are supposed to beat if you are serious about being a true contender in the East.

When: 7 p.m. ET

Where: Little Caesars Arena, Detroit, Michigan

Odds: Pistons -10.5

Tobias Harris remains out of the lineup with a right ankle sprain, though coach JB Bickerstaff says that Harris is getting better every day. His return to the lineup feels close at hand.

Marcus Sasser is also listed as out with his right hip impingement, and that feels like a situation that could linger on. I have no clear timetable on when we might see Sasser in the lineup again.

Jaden Ivey is, of course, still out with a right knee injury. Though, we might be getting an update soon as he is scheduled to be re-evaluated by doctors shortly. That might lead to a firmer timeline on his anticipated return to action.

Walker Kessler is out, and out for the season with a left shoulder injury that will require season-ending surgery.

Georges Niang is also out with a left foot injury.

Cade Cunningham, Duncan Robinson, Ausar Thompson, Isaiah Stewart, Jalen Duren

Keyonte George, Svi Mykhailiuk, Taylor Hendricks, Lauri Markkanen, Jusuf Nurkic
