Meyers "Happy To Be Here…" | Wednesday Insider Before Week 10 at Texans

"I haven't even had a chance to take it all in yet," Meyers said. "I got the call, was on a flight two hours later and was at practice [Wednesday]. It's been moving quick, but I'm honestly happy.

"I'm happy to be here, help the guys out, do whatever I can to help make the team better and try to win some games."

Coen on Wednesday said the coming days will be finding "specific things to get him in the flow of the game."

"The exact challenge is the balance of how much he can handle, how quickly can he get some of the formations down … and just throwing on air with Trev, getting some reps," Coen said. "You want to get him opportunities, but also just to go play as a Jaguar.

"You just want to make sure there's a balance there. So that'll be a process throughout this week and through each part of the plan."

Said Meyers, "Anything new is a little challenging, but I'm excited to go through it. I want to soak this whole experience in, enjoy it and win games."

Meyers, who originally signed with the Patriots as a collegiate free agent following the 2019 NFL Draft, caught four passes for 24 yards in the Jaguars' 30-29 overtime victory over the Raiders this past Sunday.

"I was just talking crazy to some people [during the game]," Meyers said with a laugh. "I had to come in here and see them, and then it was like, 'All right, what did you mean when you said that?' It's cool, though. It's a great experience."

The Jaguars have sustained multiple injuries at wide receiver in recent weeks, with rookie wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter placed on injured reserve with a knee injury Friday and fifth-year veteran Dyami Brown leaving Sunday's game with a concussion.

Second-year wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. also left Sunday's game with an ankle injury, with Coen on Wednesday citing the need for "depth" at the position.
