Mike McDaniel just gave the most painfully obvious explanation for why the Dolphins keep losing …

If the Miami Dolphins fire Mike McDaniel at the end of the 2025 season, he should look into reviving the role of Captain Obvious with Hotels.com.

McDaniel met with the media on Wednesday and was asked about the Buffalo Bills’ current seven-game win streak over Miami. When asked why Buffalo has had the Dolphins’ number, McDaniel gave the most obvious answer.

“They’ve beaten us because they’ve scored more points and done the right football things longer than we have in those games,” McDaniel told the media.

McDaniel would go on to point out that many of the games in that losing streak were one-score games that came down to Miami making critical mistakes late in the matchups that you would want back. He wasn’t wrong, as many games have been close well into the fourth quarter.

Four of the Bills’ wins in that stretch have come by seven points or less, and a fifth, the most recent, was a difference of 10 points. Miami has certainly hung tough with the Bills, despite their current losing streak.

At 2-7, Miami’s season is essentially over. Although they will fall well short of their expectations this year, knocking off a divisional rival and ending a seven-game skid should provide the Dolphins with plenty of motivation on Sunday.

The key to pulling off the upset is as easy as McDaniel stated on Wednesday. It all starts with scoring more points than the Bills.
