Simmons praised the Maplewood coaching staff for their work with the team on an off the field. He also shared some words of wisdom to stay out of trouble and to keep going, no matter what happens in their lives.

After ending the regular season 3-6, the Panthers managed to finish third in the 3A Region 5, earning themselves a playoff spot. It’s a chance to shake off any woes they struggled with in the regular season and prove themselves among the best in the 3A classification. Their first opportunity will come at Waverly on Friday at 7 pm, where the Tigers finished second in 3A Region 6.
