Seahawks 7-round 2026 NFL Mock Draft after Rashid Shaheed trade

The Seattle Seahawks made a sneaky-good move by trading for wide receiver Rashid Shaheed ahead of the 2025 deadline. Shaheed adds a consistent ability to create explosive plays that the team lacks, other than otherworldly receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Seattle had to give up something to get him, though.

To acquire the wide receiver, general manager John Schneider sent the New Orleans Saints two draft picks, both in the 2026 draft. One was a fourth-round choice and the other was a fifth-round selection. The move left the Seahawks with only four choices in next April's draft.

Like every team, Seattle will have some holes to fill. It is also likely that, unlike the 2025 draft, when the Seahawks spent nine of 11 picks on offensive players, Schneider goes with a balance of defense and offense in 2026. Here is what the draft could look like, even though the exact order will not be known until the end of the season.

Seattle Seahawks 7-round 2026 mock draft following the Rashid Shaheed trade

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

### Round 1: LT Overton, EDGE, Alabama

This might be a bit of an overdraft, as Overton might also slip to the second round, but Seattle should pick deep in the 20s of the 2026 draft, and passing on potentially disruptive players in Mike Macdonald's scheme isn't a smart move. Macdonald would probably be able to get Overton, a bit of a tweener, involved perfectly.

The Alabama edge rusher is nearly too big to play outside linebacker and not big enough to play defensive end in a 3-4 base defense. He is 6'5" and 285 pounds, but lacks elite explosiveness. Still, Seattle is going to have to replace [33-year-old DeMarcus Lawrence](https://12thmanrising.com/seattle-seahawks-granted-demarcus-lawrence-wish-dallas-cowboys-couldnt) sooner or later, and Overton could be a part of that.

### Round 2: Dontay Corleone, DT, Cincinnati

Corleone is a good fit in Macdonald's defense. He would play nose guard in a 3-4 base, and while his pass-rush moves are limited and he has shorter arms, he is 6'1" and 335 pounds of strength. Trying to run against him is difficult, and that is the kind of rotational player the Seahawks need.

While Seattle has an elite defensive line currently, Jarran Reed and Leonard Williams are both over 30 years old. Corleone doesn't have the same abilities as Williams (who does?), so he isn't a true replacement. He might be for Reed, though, especially as a run defender.

### Round 3: Charles Jagusah, G, Notre Dame

Jagusah is somewhat of an odd case. He is massive at 6'7" and 335 pounds, but has displayed elite athleticism for his size. He can bend and move, so his height shouldn't be a problem in the NFL. His issue is that he hasn't played much at Notre Dame.

He tore a pec before the 2024 season and played only two games. Ahead of 2025, he was involved in an ATV accident and broke his left arm. He had to have a follow-up procedure after the initial surgery and hasn't played this season. He will be a bit raw if he jumps to the NFL.

Still, his raw skills and flashed potential in college imply he could be an elite guard at the professional level. He could be a third-round pick with first-round value and be a long-term [replacement for right guard Anthony Bradford](https://12thmanrising.com/seattle-seahawks-made-stance-anthony-bradford-crystal-clear).

### Round 6 (from Cleveland): Hollywood Smothers, RB, North Carolina State

Smothers doesn't look like a current Seahawks running back. He is 5'11" and 195 pounds, so he lacks the size to be bullish at the line of scrimmage. That is a good thing. What Smothers does offer is elite explosiveness as a rotational piece that offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak could move around from the backfield to being a wideout. He is nothing if not flashy.

Seattle might also need a running back, and not taking one in the second round, as the Seahawks did with Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet in back-to-back years, would be wise. Walker is a free agent in 2026, however. If he leaves and Charbonnet takes RB1 duties, Smothers would be an excellent player to get some reps.
