The Seattle Seahawks might have added a wide receiver at the trade deadline, a player in the final year of his contract, but potentially sticking with the team after the season. While acquiring Rashid Shaheed will affect the wide receiver room, it is the trades Seattle didn't make that matter too.
That includes not getting a right guard. For better or worse, the Seahawks seem to be content being stuck with Anthony Bradford. The positive part is that Bradford was quite good in Week 9 against a bad Washington Commanders defense, but in most games before that, he was terrible.
Bradford is the player that Seattle simply can't quit. He has not only been given every chance to start over the last three seasons, but he's been the assumed starter even while not playing well. Even with a revolving door of offensive line coaches, Bradford remains the guy at right guard.
Anthony Bradford clearly a winner from what the Seattle Seahawks did at the 2025 trade deadline
Of course, there is obviously no clear replacement for Bradford on the current roster. Christian Haynes is in his second season, has been hurt all year so far, but was awful as a rookie in 2024. He shouldn't be put in at right guard because he won't be better.
Maybe general manager John Schneider uses some decent draft capital on a guard in the 2026 NFL draft (he did so in 2025 by taking North Dakota State's Grey Zabel), but the truth may be that Seattle believes in Bradford more than many fans or pundits do. If he can replicate his Week 9 performance moving forward, then the gamble will pay off.

Or the one Achilles heel that the Seahawks have in the 2025 season is the middle of its offensive line. Center Jalen Sundell has been inconsistent, but mostly decent, especially in pass protection. Bradford could be the sieve that allows defenses to blow up Seattle's offense in important games.
Perhaps no higher-end guard was available in a trade, or maybe Schneider just didn't see someone he wanted to offer much for. Either way, Anthony Bradford was one of the winners for the Seattle Seahawks from the 2025 trade deadline.
Now, the team simply needs him to keep playing as he did in the last game. The issue is that the Seahawks have several tough defenses ahead the rest of the season. Anthony Bradford can either prove he deserves to be the long-term starter for the Seahawks or show he needs to be replaced in the 2026 draft.
