Poor old Luis Guilherme has never really had much of a chance at West Ham.
Following his £20 million move from Palmeiras, the young Brazilian has been overlooked by three successive managers — and now looks set to be on his way out of the club.
Clearly, his lack of game time under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo isn’t about his age. After all, the Hammers boss has happily used 20-year-old Malick Diouf, 19-year-old Ollie Scarles, and the young midfield duo of Freddie Potts and Mateus Fernandes.

Guilherme has failed to make a mark at West Ham and is likely to leave in January
Perhaps it’s time to admit that Guilherme is simply a transfer that hasn’t worked out.
Guilherme Likely to Leave on Loan
Late last night, Claret & Hugh spoke to a senior transfer source with close knowledge of the Brazilian market. When asked whether Guilherme was likely to leave in January, the response was immediate:
“I think he’ll leave on loan. Honestly, I don’t think there’s been a serious transfer offer since Flamengo made a bid last winter. He’ll go on loan with a possible option.”
It seems clear that Guilherme has no real future at the London Stadium. A loan move looks inevitable as West Ham attempt to clean up what has been a pretty disastrous transfer strategy in recent years
