Albion players told to go home and think about why they won

Head coach Fabian Hurzeler wants consistency from his side.

And he would love to see that in evidence at Crystal Palace to follow the 3-0 home win last Saturday.

Speaking in the changing room after the Leeds game, he gave his players two days off.

But he said: “Go home and think about this game. Why were we like this?

“We have to do it over and over and over again.

“Also the training this week, especially the training this week.

“We need these training sessions to do it this week. It’s all about consistency.”

Hurzeler told them about a moment in which winger Yankuba Minteh was working hard off the ball.

In scenes shown on Brighton Unlocked, he said: “There was one scene in the first half and I want to describe it.

“Minteh, you were sprinting, the ball was played here.

“You were sprinting, the ball was played here.

“You were sprinting, you were sprinting, you were sprinting.

“And behind me was Jason Steele and he said, ‘Yes, that’s my Minteh’.

“That’s the feeling we have to create on the pitch.

“That we get all these behaviours we showed today week for week for week.

“It is all about consistency. When you do this week for week for week, you are so difficult to beat.”
