Vitor Roque's agent is bracing for offers around €50million (£44m) in the January transfer window. Manchester United and several European clubs are reportedly closely monitoring his situation at Palmeiras.

The forward has netted 13 goals in 28 matches since making his comeback to the Brazilian side from Barcelona. Roque was purchased for roughly £22million in February, setting a record as the most expensive player in South American football history, and his impressive form in Brazil has caught the attention of numerous clubs.

He is now sparking rumours of a potential move in January. United and Chelsea are clubs credited as the 'most interested' parties in the race, with West Ham United also showing interest.

Ruben Amorim is said to be mulling over adding a new striker to his squad at Old Trafford to challenge Benjamin Sesko. The United manager has barely utilised Joshua Zirkzee, and speculation about the Dutchman's future has triggered a possible chain reaction.

Fabrizio Romano recently dismissed rumours about Endrick moving to United as having zero chance of happening, despite the teenager getting the green light to leave Real Madrid. The expectation is that he will join Lyon on loan.

Roque's name continues to circulate in the transfer gossip columns. In conversation with Globo Esporte, the striker's agent disclosed that his team are anticipating bids when the January transfer window opens.

Andre Cury, one of the agents at Link Sports, said: "Today we're receiving a barrage of calls from European clubs, mainly Premier League and Italian clubs. They're calling to ask about the price and terms, but we're in the middle of the season.

"We already had an offer from the Arab world of 35 million euros, which wasn't of interest, and now we're going to get a proposal in the region of 50 million euros from the Premier League." The outlet claims Cury ruled out United being among those to approach him.

Roque's agent also said, "The plan was to come back here, get strong again, and also study the market. If a good offer comes along for everyone and they understand that he has to leave, he's open to listening, but he's very happy at Palmeiras.

"The focus now is on trying to win the Brazilian Championship and the Libertadores Cup." Their league campaign continues until early December, with Palmeiras currently sitting at the summit, holding a slender one-point advantage over Flamengo.

Roque will face Flamengo in the Copa Libertadores final on November 29. The season in Brazil concludes three-and-a-half weeks before January's transfer window begins.
