Curtis Jones paid tribute to his daughter when Liverpool took on Real Madrid on Tuesday evening, November 4. The midfielder came on as a substitute against the Spanish side after recovering from a minor injury that kept him out of the weekend win over Aston Villa.
Jones came on for Mac Allister in the 79th minute of the game, when Liverpool were already 1-0 up after the winning goal from Mac Allister. Jones shared pictures to Instagram of the memorable home win and uploaded a picture of his orange adidas football boots, with the name "Giselle" embroidered on the side of them.
The partner of Jones, Saffie Khan, reposted the picture of the boots to her own account as she captioned it "Giselle", alongside an emotional face emoji and two love hearts.
Last month, the proud parents celebrated their daughter's first birthday. Saffie and the Liverpool FC midfielder welcomed their first child into the world on October 13 2024.
The two regularly share updates from their happy family life on social media. To mark the birthday, Giselle wrote: "Happy 1st birthday Giselle.
"A whole year of you. You’ve completely changed our lives and filled them with so much happiness. We are so proud to be your mummy & daddy and we love you more than anything the happiest, funniest girl."

Saffie announced the birth of their baby girl on October 15 last year. In a joint Instagram post from her and Jones, the couple said: "Giselle Delilah Jones, 13.10.24. You are our entire world." This was accompanied by a series of pictures of the couple and their new baby daughter.
The couple have been in a relationship since 2019. The couple have celebrated a lot together in recent years, from the engagement to the birth of their daughter and even a Premier League title win. Saffie paid tribute to the midfielder following Liverpool's title win.
She shared a heartfelt moment with their daughter, Giselle, along with a touching three-word message: "Daddy did it." The Scouser has been with the club since U9 level and is now firmly established in the senior set-up. He signed a new long-term contract in November 2022.
In a new interview with GQ, Jones reflected on his upbringing in Liverpool and his life as a dad. He insisted he remains grounded despite becoming a bigger player for Liverpool over the past year. He puts this down to his family.
He said: "I'm just trying to be a humble kid, living the dream. I've always just wanted to play football. On the streets, at school, at the training ground, it was always hard to get me off the pitch.
"Now's the same, although I'm seen on TV and stuff, I don't let that define me. I'm just a normal lad, and that comes down to the family that I'm from and the mum I've got."
Next up for Liverpool is a trip to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday to face Manchester City, with just one point separating the sides. Liverpool will go into the game on the back of two wins and two clean sheets.
