Catching Up on Recent Results
The in-house competition is tight, but Dave has had the upper hand these past two weeks. There’s a bit of good-natured smugness creeping in from him, and Emma is very aware of it. Last season Emma won comfortably though, so we’re not calling it yet.
Week 11 Match Predictions
Here we go then. Another round, another chance to claw back points, or stride clear.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United (12:30 kickoff)
Spurs are looking to bounce back from the Chelsea defeat and they usually fancy it against United. There’s a suggestion it could be a fifth straight win over them in all competitions if they get it right. United’s matches can open up, but early kickoffs often throw in a twist.
Emma’s pick: Tottenham 1-1 Manchester United
Dave’s pick: Tottenham 2 Manchester United 1
Everton vs Fulham
Everton at home in their shiny new ground, Fulham fresh off a win over Wolves that owed as much to Wolves being poor as anything Fulham did. No disrespect to Fulham intended, but both see this as a tough away day for them.
Emma’s pick: Everton 2-1 Fulham
Dave’s pick: Everton 2-0 Fulham
West Ham vs Burnley
West Ham come into this with belief after that 3-1 over Newcastle, with a manager bounce factor in play. Burnley can be awkward to break down, which has Dave predicting a draw.
Emma’s pick: West Ham 2 Burnley 1
Dave’s pick: West Ham1-1 Burnley
Sunderland vs Arsenal (5:30 kickoff)
Sunderland’s home form is strong and they’re effective, even if Emma doesn’t rate them as anything special on the eye. Team spirit goes a long way. Arsenal should still have too much.
Emma’s pick: Arsenal 2-0 Sunderland
Dave’s pick: Sunderland 1-3 Arsenal
Chelsea vs Wolves (8:00 kickoff)
Wolves are likely to be led by interim coach James Collins. The hope is a bit more organisation and freedom, plus a lift from the change. Chelsea are wildly inconsistent. The Carabao Cup clash showed both sides can swing from poor to decent within a half.
Emma’s pick: Chelsea 2-1 Wolves
Dave’s pick: Score held back for the match preview Maybe a little weight off the players’ shoulders helps. You never know.
Aston Villa vs Bournemouth (Sunday 2:00)
Not a walk in the park, but Villa have found a rhythm again.
Emma’s pick: Aston Villa 2-2 Bournemouth
Dave’s pick: Aston Villa 1-0 Bournemouth
Brentford vs Newcastle
Both lost last time out, and both need a response. Brentford at home are gritty, especially on set pieces and long throws.
Emma’s pick: 1-1 draw
Dave’s pick: 1-1 draw A rare shared prediction.
Crystal Palace vs Brighton
Always a feisty one. Two smart sides, tight margins, and edge.
Emma’s pick: 2-2 draw
Dave’s pick: 2-2 draw
Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United
Forest might kick on, which is worrying for those at the bottom. There’s a sense that several struggling sides are about to wake up.
Emma’s pick: Nottingham Forest 2-1 Leeds United
Dave’s pick: Nottingham Forest 0-0 Leeds United
Manchester City vs Liverpool
Liverpool got a win last time out and another in Europe, but City at home feel inevitable when they click.
Emma’s pick: Manchester City 2-1 Liverpool
Dave’s pick: Manchester City 2-0 Liverpool

Wolves Fan Q&A
Your questions came in thick and fast, so here are three that stood out.
Why are fans against Gary O’Neil coming back?
Emma’s answer was blunt. He had his chance less than 11 months ago. The dressing room was lost, there were arguments on the pitch, discipline was gone, and many of those players are still in the squad. Bringing him back feels wrong for the group. It was called absurd and farcical, and it raises questions about the club’s leadership.
Where can I get British beer in Portugal?
From V. Pereira. The tip was to speak to Neil at the Fox at Shipley for some proper beer.
Why is everyone ganging up on Jeff Shi? And what about Dominico Teti going?
The reply was clear. Pull your socks up, have a plan, and stop winging it. If Gary O’Neil was plan A, where is plan B, C, or D? On Domenico Teti going yesterday, it felt inevitable and shines a light on mistakes being made in the hierarchy. It feels messy, which is worrying.
Final Thoughts and Community Shoutouts
That wraps up Week 11. The big takeaway is consistency. Some sides look ready to kick on, others are still searching for a plan. We’ll see who got it right soon enough.

We also want to shout out the Wolves Foundation gala. The stories shared were powerful and put football in its place. It really does remind you what matters.
