CLEVELAND, OHIO (TheOBR.com) - Good morning, Cleveland Browns fans! Is it Thursday already? How did that happen? All of a sudden, we're on top of the weekend. Well, time to scramble and get some stuff done before football takes over my weekend life.
THE DAILY BLOVIATION
As disturbed as I am that it's Thursday already and I've still got lots of things that I have to do, my brain has fractured into dozens of pieces, all of which are worried about something I have to do, and none of which seem to be communicating with the others. I guess the only thing for it is to dump these brain pieces into an article and get them out of my head.
DILLON GABRIEL IS ENTHUSED: The Browns have an opportunity to get their offense back on the right track against the New York Jets. The Jets are a fragmented team, left to pick up the pieces after the management dealt off their top two defensive players, Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams, on Tuesday. They got back three first-round picks over the next two years for their prized defenders.
All of which leaves the Jets' defense likely dispirited as the Browns come to town.
Helping the Browns, who are very motivated to reboot their struggling offense, is the promotion of offensive coordinator Tommy Rees to play caller, wresting the role from head coach Kevin Stefanski.
"He's eager, he's hungry. He's got a lot of knowledge," Gabriel told reporters on Wednesday. "I've been a fan of him from back in college, and seeing what he's been able to do. I think he just utilizes players at a high level."

I like to see this enthusiasm as the Browns prepare to try to reignite their offense against the struggling Jets. I hope the team comes out of the game with a new focus for the to-date awful offensive unit. Still, I'm on record as being skeptical that a new play caller will make much of a difference when the team faces sterner opponents.
But this is a key juncture and opportunity for the offensive unit to turn things around. But I won't believe there's real progress unless the offense shows definite improvement in two weeks when they play the Ravens.
ANOTHER POSITIVE: "I'm not leaving," Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku said. "Ever."
That's so refreshing to hear from a Cleveland Browns player! David Njoku has been a Brown since he was drafted out of Miami in 2017, and clearly loves it here. He loves it so much that he's willing to endure the team's horrible record and struggling offense.
I've received job offers to relocate my family elsewhere. I had choices about where to live after college as well. But I'm satisfied living in Cleveland, with its mix of cultures, entertainment opportunities, restaurants, and more. I love it here, and I'm happy that David Njoku does as well, and expresses his enthusiasm in public.
RADIO GUYS AT IT AGAIN: Yesterday, in the desperate-for-a-daily-dose-of-attention world of radio broadcasting, there was open, on-air speculation that Shedeur Sanders has made up his injuries and has no desire to play. I'm not even going to link to articles about it or mention the station.
I would never conceive of putting such speculation out there about a player without strong, credible evidence. What some folks don't get about the OBR is that such things can easily come up on our forums, but if they do, that doesn't mean that they carry a stamp of approval from the OBR team. Fans use our forums to bounce around all kinds of ideas, but we would never put something like this on our front page unless we were confident we could prove it.
Have a good one! GO BROWNS!

I can't imagine what it's like to serve your country as part of the Armed Services. You would have to be made of sterner stuff than a webdork. Here are some ideas for ways to celebrate those who have served their country as we near Veterans Day, less than a week from now.
