How to watch Aston Villa v Bournemouth: kick-off time, TV channels and streams

After a four-match winning running got the season back on track, defeat at Liverpool was an unwelcome dent in Aston Villa’s progress.

Villa had won their previous four fixtures in the Premier League including victories against Manchester City at home and Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Losing 2-0 at Anfield was no surprise to any Villa supporter despite the recent respective league form of the two teams and Villa’s next task is to make sure it doesn’t derail their development.

That quest begins at home against AFC Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.

Andoni Iraola’s Cherries will consider this a winnable fixture. They’re three points above Villa and sit in fifth place in the Premier League table having won one more game than Villa in the league this season.

They might have made a fortune by selling defensive players but they’ve just kept on keeping on, buoyed by an impressively talented core and more than a few players capable of winning matches.

Villa lost four Premier League games in a row against Bournemouth between 2019 and 2022 but haven’t been beaten by the Dorset club since then, winning three and drawing two of their last five encounters.

Last season’s match at Villa Park ended in a 1-1 draw thanks to Evanilson’s stoppage-time equaliser, which cancelled out Ross Barkley’s first goal of the campaign.

What time does Villa v Bournemouth kick off?

In common with all of Villa’s Premier League games after Europa League participation, their home game against Bournemouth will be played on Sunday afternoon.

Unable to play on Saturday because of their European participation, this fixture will be played on Sunday despite not being the natural TV coverage pick among the matches being played at the same time.

Villa v Bournemouth will kick off at 2.00pm on Sunday 9th November.

Where to watch Villa v Bournemouth in the UK

Villa v Bournemouth will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports Cricket (Cricket!) and will be available on the Sky Sports+ service and app.
