Ben Foster says there’s something concerning about Everton that no one is actually talking about

Everton have endured a strange start to the 2025/26 campaign but there is something which Ben Foster thinks is going unspoken about.

After returning to his former club on Monday night, David Moyes was forced to settle for another point against a promoted side.

The Toffees had their chances to secure all three points, with Moyes admitting Thierno Barry should have scored inside the first half.

Everton now find themselves having won just one game since August in the Premier League and sitting in 14th spot of the table.

Despite their struggles in front of goal, Gary Neville is expecting Everton to beat Fulham this weekend at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

However, former Premier League goalkeeper Foster thinks he has spotted something about Everton that is going massively under the radar.

Ben Foster worried about something he’s spotted at Everton

Already this season, Foster has sung Everton’s praise with the former Manchester United goalkeeper impressed with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

It has been a rocky period in the campaign for Moyes and his men, with the last win coming a month ago now against Crystal Palace.

Speaking on The Fozcast, Foster has admitted Everton’s league position may be going under the radar after their recent run of poor form.

“What is the bottom three looking like at the minute? Do you know what [West Ham winning] does? Do you know what it does, right? It makes Burnley, Leeds, them teams that are down there go, oh for God’s sake, we don’t need you, start winning alright,” said the 42-year-old.

“Surprisingly, Everton are 14th at the minute. They’ve had some tough fixtures. But all the news around Everton is they’ve had a good start to the season. Jack Grealish is flying. But do you know what I mean? They’re 14th as it stands.”

Foster has waxed lyrical about Grealish all season, with the 30-year-old back to his best playing regularly on Merseyside.

But it is apparent that the lack of goals in Everton’s side is seeing the Toffees slowly creep towards the wrong end of the table.

Everton have an awkward festive period to navigate

As things stand, Everton News is aware that Moyes is not under any immediate pressure at Everton, despite the recent rumours around Brendan Rodgers.

However, things could certainly change over the next month, with Everton facing some really difficult fixtures over the festive period.

Even games like Bournemouth, where Everton may usually fancy themselves, are proving as difficult as ever in what is an incredibly competitive Premier League.

Some Everton fans are growing concerned by their form under Moyes, with just three wins to their name in the opening 20 games.

A testing month could lie ahead for all on Merseyside leading up to Christmas and the New Year.
