‘They’re doomed’ - Wolves given bleak warning after new candidate entered managerial race
Ten Hag is without a club following his disastrous two-month spell in charge of Bayer Leverkusen.
The former Manchester United boss was sacked in September just three matches into the season.
However, he could now be handed a return to European football by one of his old clubs.
According to Dutch outlet AD, Ten Hag has held talks over replacing under pressure manager John Heitinga.

He met with technical director Alex Kroes this week, the report adds.
Heitinga was only appointed on a two-year deal in the summer but is already facing calls to lose his job from the club's supporters.
The former Ajax defender has seen his side win just one of their last seven matches across all competitions.
That run was extended by a 3-0 home defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Following the match, Ajax's supporter group released a statement reading: "This is no longer sustainable. The decline in the sport must be halted now.
"The AFCA Supporters Club has enormous respect for Heitinga as a player. But now we are judging him as a coach."

Ajax remain bottom of the league phase table after losing each of their opening four matches.
Meanwhile, they are already eight points adrift of league leaders Feyenoord in the Eredivisie.
Ten Hag previously spent four-and-a-half years at the helm in Amsterdam between 2017 and 2022.
During that time, he won five trophies including three Eredivisie titles, with two of those forming part of a league and cup double.
His potential Ajax return comes amid links to the vacant managerial role at Molineux.
Wolves remain without a manager after sacking Vitor Pereira on Sunday.
