Devin Booker Has Honest Admission About Future With Suns

Devin Booker is playing for a Phoenix Suns team that has very mixed expectations.

With the exits of Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, the team is in a transitional period and currently has a 3-5 record.

Because the future is so uncertain, a lot of people aren’t sure what will happen with Booker.

But speaking with The Athletic, he made it clear that the team holds a special place in his heart and he cherishes what he means to the fans.

“So I know [Steph Curry] holds a special place in everybody’s heart here in the Bay. And I feel a similar type of love in Phoenix. It’s something special. It’s kind of hard to explain, but there’s a different type of love that comes with it. I wouldn’t want it any other way,” Booker said.

The Suns are the only team Booker has ever played for after being selected by them in the first round of the 2015 draft.

Since then, he has earned a career average of 24.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists on 46.5 percent from the field and 35.5 percent from beyond the three-point line.

Booker has seen all the highs and lows of this team and has remained loyal to them when they were at their worst and when they went all the way to the NBA Finals.

The fans love Booker, and with good reason, but that doesn’t mean he has to stay in Phoenix.

It’s rare to see a player stick with one team for their entire NBA tenure, but Booker obviously really likes this franchise and the people who support it.

This statement doesn’t guarantee anything, but it should ease the worries of fans thinking he’ll leave the Suns this year.
