The Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) didn’t even play this week, and they opened up a bigger lead in the NFC East. The Dallas Cowboys (3-5-1) lost to the Cardinals, while the Commanders (3-6) got blown out by the Seahawks, and the Giants (2-7) fell to the 49ers at home. With the Eagles starting to open up an insurmountable lead, let’s take a spin through the NFC East Power Rankings.

The Commanders have now lost four in a row, and I’m going to move them into the fourth spot as they’ll now be without Jayden Daniels for what is likely going to be the season with a dislocated elbow. Terry McLaurin has also been declared out for Week 10, so things aren’t going to get any better any time soon.

#3 New York Giants (2-7)

The Giants looked good against the Eagles a few weeks ago, but they’ve since fallen off and are likely looking at another top-10 draft pick. While Jaxson Dart has looked good in spurts, the loss of Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo has been too much to overcome. At least the Giants won’t have to worry about a quarterback in the draft!
#2 Dallas Cowboys (3-5-1)

The Cowboys have had a weird season in that they haven’t had any streaks until now. Their current two-game losing streak is their only two-game streak of any kind all year, and it’s not the kind they want. They made a couple of trades to help their defense in bringing in Logan Wilson and Quinnen Williams, but it may just be a case of too little, too late, as time is starting to run out on Dallas.
#1 Philadelphia Eagles (6-2)
The Eagles didn’t have to do anything to open up a bigger lead in the division this week, but they did add to their defense as they traded for Jaelen Phillips. They’ll look to come out of their bye strong after a shaky first half of the season offensively, and a healthy Saquon Barkley will be an important piece of their success as he’s been dealing with a groin injury from a week ago.

The Eagles have a tough game coming out of their bye as they head to Green Bay to play the Packers, while the Cowboys will head into their bye week before another Monday Night Football game (against the Las Vegas Raiders). The Commanders have another tough matchup against the Lions at home, and the Giants will have to head to Chicago to face the Bears. There’s a decent chance all three teams playing lose this week, so we could be back where we are this week. Check back!
