Chelsea will look to avoid a response from managerless Wolves this weekend.

The Premier League's bottom side sacked Vitor Pereira on Sunday after their winless start to the season reached 10 matches.

Under-23s boss Jamie Collins and academy coach Richard Walker are set to take charge against the Blues this weekend.

Wolves head into the match eight points from safety after collecting just two points so far this term.

Meanwhile, they have lost their last three meetings with Chelsea, including a 4-3 Carabao Cup defeat last month.

The last four matches between these two sides has produced a combined 25 goals.

Chelsea will be happy as long as they claim all three points, though, which could see Enzo Maresca's side into second in the table.

Chelsea vs Wolves: Team news

Chelsea suffered another injury blow on Wednesday as Romeo Lavia was forced off minutes into their clash with Qarabag.

However, Pedro Neto may return against his old side after missing the trip to Azerbaijan.

Benoit Badiashile is not expected to make a comeback until after the international break, though.

He remains alongside Cole Palmer, Dario Essugo and Levi Colwill on the list of injury absentees.

Palmer's potential return from a groin injury has been pushed back to December.

As for the visitors, Wolves defender Emmanuel Agbadou is suspended following his red card against Fulham last weekend.

Rodrigo Gomes and Matt Doherty are also set to miss out through injury.

Wolves parted company with Pereira on Sunday night following their winless start to the 2025/26 season.

Executive chairman Jeff Shi said: “Vitor and his team worked tirelessly for Wolves and helped guide us through a challenging period last season, for which we are grateful.

“Unfortunately, the start to this season has been a disappointment and, despite our strong desire to give the head coach time and matches to find an improvement, we have reached a point where we must make a change.
