Spurs manager Thomas Frank looks to extend unbeaten run against Ruben Amorim
After their impressive performance in the 4-0 win against Copenhagen in the Champions League, Spurs are set to take on Manchester United in the Premier League. Thomas Frank currently boasts an undefeated record against the Red Devils’ manager, Ruben Amorim. Tottenham will look to rack up a third successive win against United in the Premier League, a feat not achieved by the club in 65 years, as per BBC Sport.
Spurs are unbeaten in their last seven head-to-head clashes against Manchester United, having won five, drawn two, and lost none. Their most significant win came in the Europa League final last season, when they beat Manchester United 1-0 to lift the trophy. During his time at Brentford, Thomas Frank has only faced Ruben Amorim once, in Brentford’s incredible 4-3 win against the Red Devils last season.
In spite of Spurs’ recent win in the Champions League, they have been inconsistent so far this season. In their match against Chelsea last weekend, Tottenham failed to create any chances and registered just one attempt on goal throughout 90 minutes. They recorded an expected goals (xG) figure of 0.05, the lowest since the Premier League started tracking such stats. Spurs will now look to get back to winning ways against United and potentially get back into the top four.
Due to mounting injuries, Spurs have been lacking quality up the field. Several key attackers, including Dominic Solanke, Dejan Kulusevski, and James Maddison, are currently sidelined with injuries. Richarlison and Randal Kolo Muani are available but are lacking in form. Brennan Johnson remains the sole reliable outlet in the attack.

Spurs back to winning ways in the Premier League?
Spurs’ record at home has become a big worry at the club. The Lilywhites have lost 9 Premier League matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this year, more than any other side. Thomas Frank has faced criticism early in his Spurs career, but a win against a team like Manchester United at home will surely silence the doubters.
It remains to be seen how things play out between the two Europa League finalists of last season.
