Roy Keane and Ian Wright have decided who will win Manchester City vs Liverpool

Manchester City and Liverpool clash in one of the weekend’s marquee Premier League fixtures, with Roy Keane and Ian Wright naming their winner.

After a torrid run of form, Liverpool won their last two matches, most recently seeing off Real Madrid after securing three points against Aston Villa last weekend.

Man City hammered Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League fixture on Wednesday after beating Bournemouth in their last league tie.

Roy Keane and Ian Wright predict Man City vs Liverpool winner

Speaking on the latest episode of Stick To Football, the former Arsenal and Manchester United players predicted the most likely outcome alongside Jill Scott.

Wright said: “It would be a good result to draw, but I think City will beat Liverpool.”

Keane responded: “I do,” Scott agreed: “I do.”

While Man City vs Liverpool is always a big game, this clash could be especially important in the title race.

Arsenal already have a six-point lead over second-placed City, meaning whoever loses this clash could be at least nine points off the Gunners should they win their match against Sunderland.

Both Man City and Liverpool have stepped up in recent weeks, while the previous meetings between these two Premier League heavyweights suggest it will be a close game.

Manchester City vs Liverpool head-to-head

Liverpool have won the last two clashes, most recently securing a 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium on February 23, 2025.

Prior to that, City and the Reds played out two 1-1 stalemates in the 2023/24 season.

The two fixtures before that both went in favour of Manchester City.

In total, the Sky Blues have won 60, Liverpool have won 110, and the remaining 58 matches throughout history have ended as draws.
