Maxx Crosby Gets Honest About Past 2 Weeks Of Season

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby was at the center of speculation nearing the NFL trade deadline, but now that will subside until the offseason.

The focus will shift to his health and availability as the Raiders navigate a difficult stretch of their schedule.

Crosby recently discussed the back and knee injuries that forced him out of their game against the Kansas City Chiefs and got honest about the past two weeks.

“These last two weeks have been tough. Right before Kansas City, and I haven’t had a back problem, you know, nothing with my back in a long f****** time. And just kind of doing a drill, literally got my s*** locked up. Tried everything in my power to go out there and try to play versus K.C. and I wasn’t able to do that at my level at all. And then got chop blocked in my knee, so it was just like a double whammy. So these last two weeks I’ve really been just, I’ve been off the grid, really just locked in. I’m getting my body right and getting healthy,” Crosby said.

Crosby acknowledged that his performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9 was not up to his usual standard.

After missing almost two weeks of practice, he struggled to find his rhythm.

As the game progressed, he settled in and worked through the discomfort to contribute what he could.

The Raiders now face a “Thursday Night Football” road game against the Denver Broncos as Crosby deals with lingering problems on short rest.

Las Vegas is a big underdog, but the team is at its healthiest point since the Week 1 victory against the New England Patriots, who lead the AFC East.

The Raiders are last in the AFC West, with only two wins in a season that has provided little reason for optimism.
