Mauricio Pochettino is definitely in a position to speak about Chelsea and the club’s project.
The United States manager was in charge of the Blues for the 2023/24 season, helping them make a return to Europe.
They qualified for the Conference League and went on to win the competition last term, but their critics will be expecting more than that after all of the money that the club have spent.
Pochettino has now discussed whether he thinks Chelsea’s project under Todd Boehly will prove to be a success.

Mauricio Pochettino backs Chelsea project to come good
Chelsea have shown a lot of inconsistency this season. They drew with Qarabag on Wednesday and are seventh in the Premier League table.
However, Pochettino is convinced that their project will bear fruit, while he has also highlighted Moises Caicedo’s and Enzo Fernandez’s improvement.
Speaking to talkSPORT, the former Chelsea boss said: “You have players that need to adapt, like Caicedo or Enzo, they were very young and too much responsibility from the first season.
“I think after with experience, they start to show the quality and with relax and calm. And now they are performing very well and they perform last season very, very well. I think it’s a project that is going to be successful for sure.”
After finishing fourth and winning the Conference League and Club World Cup trophies last season, some Chelsea fans will argue that the project at Stamford Bridge is already producing results.
Again, though, having spent so much money on transfers, some believe that the Blues really should be challenging for the title.
While supporters would love to see that, Chelsea have been predicted to finish in the top four by Gary Neville.

Mauricio Pochettino’s points per match at Chelsea compared to Enzo Maresca’s
As of now, Maresca is definitely the right man to lead Chelsea’s project and is doing a better job than Pochettino when he was at the club.
Currently, Maresca wins 1.79 points per match. During his time in west London, Pochettino was only winning 1.66.

There is a lot to like about the Italian. He has been quite innovative at Chelsea, for example. In their last Premier League win against Tottenham, Maresca had his players constantly rotating on the pitch, something Spurs could not seem to handle.
Keeping Maresca in charge may very well help Chelsea’s project be a success.
