The Detroit Pistons defeated the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, beating them 114-103 behind a powerful 31 points and 10 assists from Cade Cunningham.
But it wasn’t just Cunningham who did fantastic work for the Pistons, as Jalen Duren had another explosive night.
Duren put up 22 points and 22 rebounds, a stunning feat for the 21-year-old big man.
On social media, Evan Sidery highlighted just how well Duren has been doing this year.
Over the last six games, he has averaged 20.3 points and 13.2 rebounds on a 69.5 true shooting percentage.
“Duren is taking a notable leap this season for the Pistons,” Sidery wrote on X.

He is indeed taking a leap forward, and that’s clear when you look at his numbers from previous seasons.
Last year, he averaged 11.8 points and 10.3 rebounds, which was already much higher than his 9.1 points and 8.9 rebounds a few years before during his rookie campaign.
Pistons fans love this young team, and one of the things they like most is their aggressive and confident attitude.
Duren embodies that perfectly.
The Pistons are now 6-2 and have shown that they can keep up with some of the best teams in the league, such as the Houston Rockets.
Last season, they experienced one of the biggest turnarounds in recent NBA history, and they are hoping to become a permanent presence in the playoffs.
They have gotten off to a good start, but it’s a long season.
However, if Duren is able to keep producing double-doubles like this one, there is every reason to believe in this Pistons squad.
