Newcastle United fan favourites Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes starred as the Magpies recorded their third Champions League win on the bounce.
Newcastle United’s Brazilian boys have already won the hearts of the Geordie nation.
While critics the nation wide claim they’re flat track bullies, those who know them and watch them week-in, week-out know there’s so much more to the game of Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes.
The Samba brothers in arms have made Tyneside their home, wear the black and white stripes with pride and their heart on their sleeves. And that’s why we love them so, right? Exactly.
So while they get up the noses of opposition fans, the duo are heroes to those who follow NUFC.
Joelinton scores for Newcastle United in the Champions League
Failed striker but combative midfielder Joelinton got his second goal for the club last night in the Champions League, adding to his solitary strike from the last campaign v AC Milan.
He netted a second half header as the Magpies cruised to a 2-0 victory against Athletic Club to take United to sixth in the Champions League table, at the halfway stage of the league stage of the competition.

Those quotes came as a surprise to Eddie Howe, however.
“He wasn't saying that to me this morning! He said he was feeling a million dollars this morning - that's news to me,” said Howe.
“No, in all seriousness, his character is undoubted. His will to play is so strong. I had a detailed talk with him today and he assured me he'd be fit to produce the performance the team needed, while probably acknowledging that he wasn't at 100% fitness.
“That's why we withdrew him when we did, to try and protect him. But I think we lost a little bit when he came off, speaking honestly, that's how important he is to us. I thought he performed very well.”
