The New York Giants have a 2-7 record this season in the NFL and they are potentially on their way to getting another top five selection in the 2026 NFL Draft. There are many questions about if general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll will be around within the organization next season.

They are both on the hot seat and there are still holes on this roster. When wide receiver Malik Nabers tore his ACL, there was no depth at the wide receiver position. One player that New York could be heavily scouting before the 2026 NFL Draft is Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson. The Giants however could be an attractive opening this offseason for a head coach and a general manager because of quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Trevor Sikkema of profootballfocus.com created his latest 2026 NFL mock draft after the NFL trade deadline. As of right now, the Giants would hold the fifth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Sikkema would have the Giants selecting wide receiver Tyson from the Sun Devils. He said about the wide receiver,
“Tyson is carrying an 83.0 PFF receiving grade for the second season in a row. His tape oozes WR1 potential. He can run any route, give you yards after the catch and even provide spectacular toe-tapping, diving and one-handed grabs. He and Malik Nabers would be a top-tier combo.”
This season with the Sun Devils, he has caught 57 passes for 628 yards receiving and eight touchdowns, along with averaging 11.0 yards per reception. Tyson is 6’2″ and weighs 200 lbs. The Giants number one priority this offseason is finding another wide receiver for Dart and Nabers.
New York needs to draft a wide receiver in the first round. If they can do that, then they will be moving forward as long as they can find the right general manager and head coach after this season. Tyson will no doubt be on the Giants radar this upcoming draft season.
