Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has named his starting XI to face Maccabi Tel Aviv this evening.

He has made five changes to the side that lost 2–0 at Anfield last weekend.

Emi Martínez starts in goal, behind a defence of Ezri Konsa, Victor Lindelof, Pau Torres, and Ian Maatsen.

Lamare Bogarde and Amadou Onana will operate as the double pivot, while Evann Guessand, Morgan Rogers, and Jadon Sancho support Donyell Malen in attack.

Villa will reach the halfway point of their Europa League league-phase campaign after facing Maccabi, who remain winless after three European games so far this season.

Emery’s side are targeting their third win of the league phase, having previously beaten Bologna and Feyenoord before losing away to Go Ahead Eagles.

Villa starting XI vs Maccabi Tel Aviv: Martinez, Konsa, Lindelof, Torres, Maatsen, Bogarde, Onana, Guessand, Rogers, Sancho, Malen.

Subs: Bizot, Oakley, Cash, Digne, McGinn, Buendia, Kamara, Tielemans, Elliott, Barkley, Watkins, Broggio.
