All three clubs in the relegation zone below Leeds United have sacked their manager this season, and Wolves are looking to complete their appointment in due course.
United have a huge game at the bottom end of the Premier League table this weekend as they travel to Nottingham Forest away from home.
A win would give Leeds some breathing space heading into the international break. Defeat would inevitably bring questions over Daniel Farke’s survival credentials.

Wolves on the hunt to replace Vitor Pereira after bizarre contract developments
Pressure is ramping up at the bottom end of the table. All three sides currently in the relegation zone have taken the decision to sack a manager already, Forest have done it twice.
For Wolves, a 3-0 drubbing at Fulham brought the end of Vitor Pereira’s tenure. Winless after 10 games, the Molineux club bafflingly offered Pereira a new contract four games (and losses) into the season, shortly before being dispatched at home by Farke’s Leeds.

Wolves decided to sack Pereira and are now on the lookout for his replacement, staring down the barrel at relegation as things stand. They sit 20th in the table with just two points on the board, eight points adrift of Burnley in 17th.
Wolves plotting surprising move for Middlesbrough boss Rob Edwards
Wolves’ search for a new manager could see them head into the EFL with former player Rob Edwards eyed for the vacancy.
That’s according to The Telegraph’s John Percy, who reports that Wolves have made a formal approach to appoint Edwards, who is currently in a job as Middlesbrough head coach.

‘Boro are currently third in the Championship after Luke Ayling’s last-gasp leveller at Leicester City this week. However, underlying numbers paint a different picture.
The Teessiders have created the fourth-lowest xG in the division (15.0),but are buoyed by the second-best xG against in the league (12.7). Overall, their xG difference has them seventh in the division.
Are Wolves as good as relegated while Leeds United battle to stay up?
An eight-point gap to safety isn’t totally insurmountable. Wolves were in a similar winless position last season and cruised to safety when Pereira came in.
However, they had Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri last season. Their exits mean they don’t have anyone that talismanic in attack this time around.
They look hopeless and it seems that whoever takes the job is likely to have a relegation on their CV. Leeds’ hope is that we aren’t one of the sides that ends up joining them in the EFL.
