Alejandro Garnacho has just said something at Chelsea that might shock Man Utd fans

Alejandro Garnacho was on the scoresheet for Chelsea in the Champions League and his post-match comments might surprise Manchester United fans.

Earlier this week, reports suggested Alejandro Garnacho is doing extra training at Chelsea to try and work his way into Enzo Maresca’s plans.

The Carrington graduate clearly didn’t do enough to earn a starting spot, but he did come off the bench in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Qarabag in the Champions League.

Brought on at half-time in place of Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho scored Chelsea’s second goal just minutes later.

At the end of last season, Garnacho was told to find a new club after he lashed out at Ruben Amorim’s decision-making in the Europa League final.

It was not the first time the young winger had shown immaturity at United, but it seems he might have turned a corner since joining Chelsea.

After scoring in Chelsea’s Champions League draw, Garnacho was asked about his performance, but he kept his answer short, sweet, and surprisingly mature.

“Yeah, I came on and I tried to help the team, it’s not important for me, the important thing is to win the game and we didn’t do that today, so it means nothing,” Garnacho said.

At United, Garnacho angered fans with celebrations and often adopted a very self-confident approach similar to Cristiano Ronaldo. At Chelsea, his winning mentality is shining through in a positive way.

Man United have already moved on from Alejandro Garnacho

Garnacho was tipped to follow in Ronaldo’s footsteps at United, but his comments after the Europa League final were unforgivable.

Amorim made the right decision to make Garnacho train alone over the summer and look for a new club.

The club has not looked back since, and United fans are glad Garnacho is gone. Ineos have already sourced upgrades by signing Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo this summer.

Not only have Cunha and Mbeumo drastically improved United’s attacking output, but they also have very strong characters and leadership qualities in the dressing room.
