Falcons injury report: 2 Atlanta starters ruled out vs. Colts

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons are set to make a trip across the pond to Berlin, Germany to face the Indianapolis Colts at Olympic Stadium this Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. ET. However, three individuals will not make the trip as left guard Matthew Bergeron (ankle), edge rusher Leonard Floyd (hamstring) and swing tackle Storm Norton (foot) will not travel to Germany with the team.

This news comes after Bergeron and Floyd left last Sunday's game against the New England Patriots with their respective injuries. Head coach Raheem Morris said Wednesday that the team considered Bergeron "week-to-week" and that it was not likely he'd get the all-clear to play this weekend. The expectation is that Kyle Hinton will continue to fill in for Bergeron against the Colts.

As for Norton, there is no new information beyond what Morris said Wednesday that whatever is going on with the lineman who started the season on injured reserve is "not good news." Norton reportedly underwent an ankle surgery prior to the preseason ending. The team opened his 21-day window to return to the active roster two weeks ago, and while he seemed to be trending well, he was downgraded to being a non-participant in each of the Falcons' last three practices.

In other injury news, the Falcons did report continued progress for starting right guard Chris Lindstrom (foot), defensive lineman Zach Harrison (knee) and nickel Billy Bowman Jr. (hamstring). All three participated in some capacity throughout Thursday morning's practice, and all three are making the trip to Berlin.
