Everton striker target Franculino Dju helps destroy Celtic, David Moyes surely impressed

Everton boss David Moyes was surely left impressed as Midtjylland striker Franculino Dju dazzled against Celtic.

Everton’s strikers are struggling for goals, and David Moyes doesn’t seem to know who to pick.

Beto or Thierno Barry is the big question around Everton right now, but the truth is that neither of them are playing well enough.

Everton may look to bring in another striker in January, and reports suggest that the Toffees fancy Midtjylland’s Franculino Dju.

Franculino was in Europa League action against Moyes’ boyhood club Celtic on Thursday night, meaning the Everton boss surely had one eye on his performance.

David Moyes surely impressed with Franculino

When rumours of Everton’s interest in Franculino emerged, we can admit that we were unsure.

A young striker coming in from Denmark does not really seem to be what Everton need, especially with Thierno Barry struggling with the transition from La Liga.

Despite those concerns, it was difficult not to be impressed with Franculino’s display against Celtic.

Not only was Franculino a threat to score on his left foot, but he was also creative when dropping in to get on the ball.

The jump to the Premier League is a huge one, and one performance against Celtic doesn’t completely erase the doubts.

This was a superb showing from Franculino, though, and one Moyes surely watched with real interest.
