Looking to bounce back from Week 9's disappointing loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Indianapolis Colts will be without defensive end DeForest Buckner in Week 10.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Buckner's status on Thursday.
"Colts DE DeForest Buckner will not travel with the team to Berlin and has been ruled out of Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons due to a neck injury," Schefter shared on X.
Despite the Week 9 loss in Pittsburgh, Indianapolis has been one of the NFL's best teams this season. Heading into their Week 10 matchup in Germany with the Falcons, the Colts are 7-2, which leads the AFC South and is tied with the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos for the best record in the conference.
The Colts will have their work cut out for them when it comes to pressuring the quarterback. The Falcons have been one of the NFL's best teams against the pass rush this season. Atlanta has surrendered only 11 sacks on the season, tied for the third-best total in the league.
Buckner, the three-time Pro Bowler, has helped anchor the Indianapolis defense. His four sacks are second on the team, behind only defensive end Laiatu Latu, who has five. Buckner has also recorded nine tackles for a loss, which leads the Colts and is tied for sixth in the NFL.
