How does one of the best strikers in the world celebrate scoring in a thumping win against his former side? By going out for a succulent Chinese meal, of course.

On Wednesday evening, Erling Haaland could be seen wheeling away in celebration for the 18th time in just 14 games this season as he netted one of Manchester City's four goals against Borussia Dortmund in a Champions League group match.

A day later, he has posted on social media that he is enjoying an evening off by going into central Manchester, refuelling with Chinese food ahead of City's monster clash with rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

Haaland posted four pictures of himself enjoying life in Chinatown on his X account, accompanied by the caption 'Matchday +1'.

The Norwegian striker could be seen smiling in front of restaurants such as FatPats and Pho Cue just one night on from breaking a Champions League record.

Against Dortmund Haaland scored in a fifth successive game in the competition, which makes him the first player to do so for three different teams. He also managed the feat for Red Bull Salzburg and last night's opponents, Dortmund.

The post is yet another instance of Haaland loving his life off the pitch.

For Halloween, Haaland went out on the town in a bid to spook the public, which included many City fans.

In a video on his new YouTube channel titled: 'I went undercover as The Joker in the streets of Manchester,' Haaland was seen dressing up in his home alongside girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen.

Haaland, who just months ago became a father, made reference to how he was looking forward to having his hair dyed green, and that he had 'never done fancy dress in my life'.

Footage showed the striker having his face painted white, with the large, traditional Joker grin added in. As he looked at himself in the mirror, Haaland said: 'Nah, that looks sick.'

Isabel laughed as she saw the final look for Haaland, who also donned the traditional purple suit and tie. She said: 'S***,' before running away as her other half chased her. She added: 'You look like the one from the movie.'

Isabel was also in the process of a makeover, which featured red contact lenses. She said: 'I am excited for tonight. There hasn't been much quality time with the baby, it is very important,' with it clear the two were heading out.

When his makeover were done, Haaland told the camera: 'Let's have fun while buying some diapers, let's go,' and exited his house.

He was then seen doing kick-ups outside, and said: 'The Joker can play football as well.'

Haaland certainly can play football. His 13 Premier League strikes in 10 games sees him on course to break his own single season goalscoring record of 36 from the 2022-23 campaign.

He will be looking to add to that when the Citizens face off against Liverpool at the Etihad, a team who he has only scored goal against while at City.
