Pittsburgh had eight players who sat out of Wednesday’s practice. Miller is still recovering from a finger injury suffered in practice two weeks ago, missing the past two games. He’s caught just one pass on the season. Seumalo aggravated a pec injury last Sunday he originally injured in Week 8, unable to finish the past two games. Last week, he failed to practice Wednesday or Thursday before suiting up Friday and being cleared to play. If he can’t do the same Sunday night, Spencer Anderson will start at left guard. To keep its six offensive line package, the Steelers would need to find an alternative.

Peppers missed Week 9 with a quad injury while Clark sat out with an illness. Clark returned to practice yesterday while Peppers missed. In last Sunday’s win over the Indianapolis Colts, Jalen Ramsey and Kyle Dugger served as the team’s starting safeties. Juan Thornhill was active but failed to log a defensive snap. Peppers’ status for Sunday night’s game is in serious doubt.

Holcomb has now missed more than one week with an undisclosed illness. Malik Harrison absorbed his snaps last week.

Washington returned to practice after missing yesterday’s session. As did Highsmith after nursing an ankle injury suffered early in Week 9’s win. Heyward is a new name to the report and his status will be monitored on Friday’s report. Though he sees scant offensive snaps, he’s a multi-phase special teamer. Smith returned after being given Wednesday off.

Howard remains on injured reserve. He can be activated anytime with his deadline approaching on Wednesday, November 12. He’s practiced in full every day since his window-to-return opened. If activated for Sunday’s game by Saturday afternoon’s deadline, the Steelers are currently able to add him without making a corresponding move. The team is back down to a 52-man roster after waiving former third round pick DeMarvin Leal Thursday.

Trice had his window opened last week. He suffered a knee injury on his second day, the latest in a long string of injuries and setbacks.

Newly added DL Brodric Martin-Rhodes practiced fully in his first day with the team.

Pittsburgh and Los Angeles kickoff Sunday night at 8:20 PM/EST.
