The Bucs are excited to get right tackle Luke Goedeke back at practice this week, and the good news for Tampa Bay is that he participated for the second straight day – albeit in a limited fashion. Tampa Bay practiced in pads on Thursday and head coach Todd Bowles got a look at what Goedeke could do with more physicality.

Bowles will make a determination on Friday if he can play in Sunday’s game against the 7-2 Patriots at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. Goedeke will likely either be listed as questionable or out for the New England game – unless he practices fully on Friday. The team opened up the 21-day practice window for Goedeke, who is still on injured reserve, on Monday. When Goedeke is ready to resume his starting job at right tackle the team will have to make a roster move to create room for him on the 53-man roster.

If Goedeke does not return to action in the next three weeks he will go back on injured reserve for the rest of the season.

But Goedeke was not the only starting offensive lineman on Thursday’s injury report. The Bucs also listed starting left guard Ben Bredeson as limited due to a shoulder injury. Bredeson’s injury apparently occurred during Thursday’s practice. That bears monitoring as the Bucs would love the opportunity to have at least four out of their starting five offensive linemen suit up on Sunday if Bredeson and Goedeke can join center Graham Barton and left tackle Tristan Wirfs.

There was some good news as right guard Luke Haggard, who started four games for the Bucs, continues to trend towards being able to play. On Wednesday, Bowles was unsure if the team would start Haggard, Mike Jordan or Dan Feeney, who started at right guard in New Orleans, versus the Patriots.

Wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. (fibula), running back Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder) and outside linebackers Haason Reddick (knee/ankle) and Markees Watts (hand) remained out of Thursday’s practice and likely will not be available for Tampa Bay on Sunday.
