Chargers’ Week 10 Thursday Injury Report: Two Starters Remain Out Of Practice

The Los Angeles Chargers released their Thursday injury report ahead of their Sunday matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. While OLB Khalil Mack and WR Keenan Allen returned to practice after rest days on Wednesday, CB Tarheeb Still and OT Bobby Hart remained out of practice. Still suffered a knee injury in Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings and did not play in Week 9, while Hart suffered a knee injury in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans.

The Chargers also lost OT Joe Alt in Week 9 to a high-ankle sprain, his second of the season, and Alt will miss the remainder of the season as he underwent surgery to repair the injury. If Hart misses Sunday’s game, the Chargers will be without both of their starting tackles from Week 9.

The Chargers’ official Twitter account posted the injury report on Twitter.

LS Josh Harris (chest — remains on Reserve/Injured)

DB Deane Leonard (knee — remains on Reserve/Injured)

WR Keenan Allen (NIR — Rest)

OLB Khalil Mack (NIR — Rest)

Both Still and Hart would be big losses for the Chargers, who also saw CB Benjamin St. Juste and WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith added to the injury report. St. Juste popped up on the report today with a groin injury, while Lambert-Smith suffered a hamstring injury. St. Juste has played in all nine games for the Chargers this season, starting two. Lambert-Smith has just one reception for one yard this season.

It’ll be worth monitoring the status of Hart and Still tomorrow, but it doesn’t look promising for either to suit up. Allen and Mack were at no risk of missing Sunday’s game, but it’s ideal for the Chargers to get them back to full practice and ramp up ahead of Sunday’s game. This is particularly for Mack, who just returned from injury.

The other notable injury for Los Angeles is OL Mekhi Becton, who has been banged up at times this year. If Becton is out, the Chargers will be down three starting linemen from Week 9, and four of their projected five starters from ahead of the season. OT Rashawn Slater suffered an injury during training camp.
