Is Courtland Sutton playing tonight? Broncos WR outlook makes for tough fantasy decision

Courtland Sutton has been a bit of a disappointment.

The No. 1 WR for a good team and a promising second-year QB throwing him the ball seemed the perfect fantasy football recipe.

But Sutton isn't putting together big weeks. In Week 9, he had just one catch, and his fantasy day was only saved a bit because it was a 30-yard touchdown.

Now in Week 10 against the Las Vegas Raiders, it seems a great matchup. But whether or not Sutton can do something with it is an entirely different question.

Is Courtland Sutton playing tonight?

The good news for the Broncos is that Sutton is active, healthy and playing.

That's especially relevant given that Marvin Mims Jr. is out with an injury.

Sutton has averaged more than seven targets a game over the past three weeks. He just mixes some solid games in with some duds. It's hard to know what to expect.

He's a fantasy starter still, at minimum a FLEX-level player during bye weeks. But there's some downside here.

If the Broncos score early and take a solid lead against the Raiders through a couple other players, they might not need to pass much.

Playing Sutton on Thursday night is hoping for an unexpected shootout or a big first half for the wideout. If those don't happen, he might only end up with a line like four catches for 50 or 60 yards. Not terrible, but not terribly exciting.
